I have noticed an increase in dog dandruff these last few years. Especially during the summer months. A lot of dogs will get dandruff during the summer months because it can get hot and irritate their skin. You should always be careful when you take your dog out during these months because it can really get bad. So make sure that you are not letting your dog outside for too long. Not only can it cause severe dandruff but it can cause over exhaustion as well.
Another very common cause of dog dandruff is actually the shampoo that you are using on them. Sometimes the shampoo can give your dog a pretty bad case. This just means that you should think about changing it up and getting a new shampoo. May I suggest to you some all natural shampoo with some coconut oil in it. This is what I like to use for my dogs and it works quite well.
One of the other common causes is dehydration. If your dog is not drinking enough water then you should make sure they are getting the proper amount for the day. Dehydration can cause skin problems in the future which can in return lead to some very severe cases of dandruff. Dandruff is really the least of your problems if your dog is not getting enough water intake. You need to make sure to look out for a lot of other problems as well.
The last and final cause of dandruff on dogs is their diet. What kinds of foods are your dog eating. Is it healthy. does it have a lot of ash in it and what is the food grade level. These are some of the things that you should be asking yourself when you feed your dog any food. Sometimes feeding a dog human food is actually better for their skin than most dog foods. I only feed my dogs grade b ground beef and vegetables because that is all they should be eating.
Okay so now that you know the causes you can think about preventing it from happening later on. And you know how to treat it as well. I know that dog dandruff is a big problem but it does not have to be if you know what you are doing.

How To Get Rid Of Dandruff On Dogs The Natural Way
My dogs will get nothing but the absolute best special treatment. I will continue to give them the best treatment possible for the rest of their dog lives. As you know I am a massive dog fan. I currently have seven dogs and I love each of them the same. Some of them have some very severe dandruff problems. A couple of them got much luckier than the other ones and have never had dandruff before. You must learn how to get rid of dandruff on dogs naturally. Why do we have to do it naturally? Well because if you know anything about dogs, you would know that they need to stay away from toxic chemicals. They are very sensitive to certain shampoos and medications. For that reason I have always told people to use natural medicine to treat dandruff. Here are a few ideas that I want to run by you.
1. Coconut Oil
I have found coconut oil to be an excellent treatment for dandruff on dogs. All you really have to do is rub a little bit on their skin when you are giving them a bath. It is non toxic and non harmful to your animal. Coconut oil can be used for any animal unless they just happen to be allergic to it somehow. That is not a very common problem and will actually rarely happen.
2.Oatmeal Bath Works Well
Oatmeal is used for any living being to treat skin. It will make the skin softer and clearer. As well as get rid of dandruff over time. Whenever you give your dog a bath or shower you can add oatmeal into the bathwater. Make sure that they get to soak inside the bath for at least an hour. Super effective for acne as well in humans.
3.Apple Cider Vinegar
I always talk about apple cider vinegar when it comes to skin. I have used it in the past for acne and pimples. You can also use it if you want to learn how to get rid of dandruff on dogs. You can use it the same way that you would any of the other remedies. When giving a bath just rub apple cider vinegar on your dogs skin. I would highly suggest doing this multiple times daily for best result. Your dog will thank you so much for this later.
A vet will always have the best interest for your dog so if you need to. You can visit your local veterinarian clinic. I enjoyed teaching you everything you need to know about dog dandruff and treating it.
